Between 1937-1938 he participated intensively in the exhibitions held in Haifa. In 1939 he moved to Tel-Aviv. In the beginning of the forties he won the Dizengoff Prize and in 1959 the Milo Prize. He participated in the Venice Biennale in 1952 and in the Sao Paolo Biennale in 1953.
