Biography Raphael Mohar. b. 1906, near Cracow, Poland. Immigrated 1929. Studies: Dusseldorf, Germany; 1925-28 Royal Academy of Art, Antwerp, Belgium; advanced studies, 1937 Free Academy, Montmartre, Paris. Prizes: 1950 Prize for Encouragement from French Ministry of Art; 1958 Herman Struck Prize, Haifa. 1955 Published album of woodcuts, Jeremiah. One of his paintings was acquired by the French Government. Selected Exhibitions: 1934 and 1954 Haifa Museum; 1945 Tel Aviv Museum; 1949 Daugenaug Gallery, Paris; 1957 Bet Chagall, Haifa. Died 1962 Haifa.
