Biography
Pinchas Abramovic, Painter. b. 1909, Lithuania. Immigrated 1929. Studies: 1925 Art Academy, Kovno; 1935-36 Grande Chaumiere, Paris. Teaching: 1929 Kibbutz Beit Zera; 1947-52 Tel Aviv, in schools; 1952-72 Kibbutz Seminary. Prizes:1966 Monaco Prize; 1968 Dizengoff Prize; 1985 Honorary Degree, Art Association, Frankfurt. 1948 A founder of New Horizons Group, served as its secretary; 1986 Honourary President of Israel Painters and Sculptors Association. Participated in many exhibitions and Biennales in Israel and abroad. Died 1986.
