Biography
Moshe Ziffer, (1902 - 1989) Sculptor. b. 1902, Poland. Immigrated 1919. Studies: 1928-33 Sculpture in Vienna and Paris. Prizes: 1947-48 Dizengoff Prize; prize for design of a wall in Hagana House, Tel Aviv. Environmental Sculptures: Memorial in honour of the breakthrough at the Burma Road, Hulda; Sculpture Garden, Safed; 1958 "Lot"s Wife", at Brussels International Exhibition; stone sculptures at Tel Aviv University and Hebrew University, Jerusalem. Died 1989. Bequeathed his sculpture garden in Safed to Safed Municipality and his collection of sculptures to Tel Aviv University. (The Israel Museum in Jerusalem Web Site)
