Biography
Maureen Fain (1944 -) Painter. Born in South Africa. Studies:
1970 -73. B.A. Art History, Hebrew University, Jerusalem; 1964 Central School of Art, Stage Design, London; 1961-63 Fine Arts, Natal, South Africa.
19 exhibitions worldwide in Israel, Paris, South Africa, Norway and USA including: 1999 Guest of the City of Berlin and German Government in Rathaus Shoneberg for exhibition and symposium; 1996 Group exhibition, Shapes and Color, guest of honor, France; 1994 Special exhibition of watercolour nudes, Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Her works are in the collections of the Israel Museum and Brauer Museum, USA, and in private collections worldwide. Maureen is a member of the Israeli Painters and Sculptors Association and has been teaching at the Israel Museum since 1990. Lives and works in Jerusalem.
