Notes: A rare painting by Isaac Lichtenstein. Lichtenstein was born in Łódź, Poland. Initially he studied at the Yehuda Pen school in Witebsk- the same school where young Marc Chagall started out. He later moved to Paris where he formed the Jewish artists group “Machmadim”. Afterwards, he moved to Israel where he studied and painted at Bezalel.
