The clock with a round face ornately decorated with scrolls in relief and with large, enamel painted, Roman numerals and a plaque inscribed "Charles Baltazar". Housed in a rectangular case with a hinged, glass door and glass sides. The case decorated throughout with tortoiseshell veneer featuring gilt marketer work of scrolling flowers. The corners, door and finials mounted with ormolu designed as scrolls and rosettes. Raised on four supports and topped by a sculptural depiction of an angel.
