The backplate engraved with geometric and foliate motifs, terminating in a crown form, with two attached cut and engraved birds, fronted by an engraved square oil pan.

Consistent with age.

The “Kandil”, a memorial oil lamp for women, was kept in the home for the first year after the deceased had passed away and used on the Sabbath and holiday, after which it was given to the Synagogue.
